Are you ready to break out of old recurring cycles and flourish into the most empowered and liberated version of yourself you can be? I’m here to help you leave behind unhelpful patterns and conditioning, discover your innate wisdom and confidence, and develop tools and skills to thrive in all areas of your life.
My name’s Claire Cottone (it’s Italian, pronounced Catoni). I’m an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker practising psychological counselling and ground-breaking trauma therapy Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR). I’m also an artist and a devoted yoga practitioner, bringing embodiment, spirituality, and creativity to my therapeutic work.
I believe that we are all beings with infinite potential that often lies untapped beneath our traumas, social conditioning, limiting belief systems, safety mechanisms and unconscious fears. I believe that just outside your comfort zone, in the vast unknown of the parts of yourself you may be afraid to feel, is exactly where the magic happens.
I offer private counselling for individuals aged 16+, specialising in trauma, anxiety and depression, grief and loss, life transitions, relationships, families, addiction, body image, sexuality and gender, career and life direction and spiritual development.
I work with evidence-based psychological interventions including cognitive behavioural therapies, mindfulness-based therapies, interpersonal therapies and EMDR, bringing 20 years of experience in human services and mental health. I hold a Master of Social Work and a Bachelor of Arts/Laws.
I look forward to helping you along your life journey to greater ease, clarity, confidence, freedom and fulfilment.
